Let's be honest

Putting up your own lights in a Richmond December is a cold, soaking, genuinely risky way to lose a weekend.

You drag the tangled box out of the garage and half the strand is dead. Now you are on a ladder against wet, mossy eaves in steady rain, fingers numb, with the light gone by half past four.

Hours later it is… fine. A little crooked over the garage. And after the first outflow wind pulls a run loose, you get to climb back up and do it again.

There's a better way — and homeowners across the Lower Mainland have already found it.

The BrightWrx difference

Imagine doing absolutely nothing — and having the best lights on the street.

Whether you are in Steveston near the waterfront, in Terra Nova or Seafair, out in Broadmoor or Riverdale, or along the dyke — you never see a ladder.

  • Custom-designed for your home — not generic store strands
  • Installed by trained, insured Lower Mainland locals
  • Maintained all season — a dark bulb is our problem
  • Taken down and stored, clean and damage-free

Built on an island, below the sea

Richmond sits on Lulu Island, about a metre above sea level, behind a ring of dykes.

The whole city is built on silt deposited by the Fraser, kept dry by dykes and pump stations. The dyke trail runs right around the island and is the best place in Metro Vancouver to see a sunset.

Steveston at the southwest corner was once the busiest fishing port on the coast, with dozens of canneries along the river. The Gulf of Georgia cannery and Britannia Shipyards are still standing.

Flat ground and open sky mean nothing blocks the view of your property. That cuts both ways in December.

Proudly local

We light every street in Richmond.

We are not a national chain parachuting in with a truck of generic strands. Elevated Holiday Lights is locally owned and operated, working across the Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley:

Engineered for the Pacific Northwest

Built for a Richmond winter.

At sea level on an island in the river mouth, Richmond is damp in a way that finishes off ordinary fixtures — river fog, salt influence off the strait, and well over a metre of rain a year.

  • Roughly 1,200–1,700 mm of rain a year: sealed, weather-rated connections instead of the open sockets that corrode by December
  • Fraser Valley outflow winds: low-profile, properly anchored installs rated to hold when the Arctic outflow comes down the valley
  • Freeze–thaw and wet snow: hardware that tolerates repeated freezing and the weight of wet coastal snow on a loaded run
  • Constant coastal damp and moss: commercial-grade housings built for air that never really dries out between November and March

Why Richmond trusts us

Not a franchise. Not a truck full of generic strands.

Commercial-grade, not retail

Professional LEDs, connectors and mounting rated for Pacific Northwest rain and Fraser Valley outflow — not the big-box strands that fail by mid-December.

Four packages, one standard

Classic, Professional, Premier and Legacy Glow differ in scope, never in workmanship. The smallest job gets the same crew and the same finish.

Specified for island damp

River fog and salt air together are punishing. Commercial-grade connectors and housings are not optional here.

Locally owned and operated

Elevated Holiday Lights is a Lower Mainland business with local crews, not a seasonal franchise working out of a van for eight weeks.

Takedown and storage included

We remove everything in January, leave the property clean, and store your materials until next season. You never handle a strand.

Flat, open sightlines

With nothing to block the view, balance matters more than brightness. We design for how the whole elevation reads from the street.

Do you serve Steveston?

Yes — Steveston, Terra Nova, Seafair, Broadmoor, Riverdale, Thompson and Hamilton, along with the rest of Richmond.
