What is included in a holiday lighting installation?
Everything. We handle the complete process from start to finish: custom design consultation, professional installation, all materials (lights, clips, cords, timers), mid-season maintenance if anything goes out, and full takedown and storage after the season ends. You do not need to provide any materials or be home during installation. We arrive, install, and your lights turn on automatically that evening.
Do I need to buy the lights or do you provide them?
We provide all lights and materials. Our commercial-grade LED lights are custom-fit for your home and become yours after the first season. You own the lights outright — there is no contract locking you in year after year. If you choose to use us again the following season, you only pay for installation, maintenance, and takedown.
What type of lights do you use for holiday installations?
We use commercial-grade LED lights exclusively. Our standard is the C9 bulb style — the large, classic Christmas bulb — spaced for maximum visual impact along your rooflines, eaves, peaks, and landscaping. LED lights are brighter, last longer, use significantly less energy, and hold up to Central Oregon's freezing temperatures and wind far better than incandescent bulbs.
Can I choose my own colors?
Absolutely. Warm white is our most popular color for Bend homes — it pairs beautifully with the mountain contemporary architecture throughout the area. But we carry a full range of colors including cool white, multicolor, red, green, blue, and custom combinations. Your designer will walk through color options during the consultation.
When should I book my holiday lighting installation?
As early as possible. Our schedule fills on a first-come, first-served basis starting in late summer. Most Bend installations happen between late October and early December. If you wait until November, we may still be able to fit you in, but the earlier you book, the more flexibility you have on timing and design.
How early can lights be installed?
We begin installations in mid to late October. Many Bend homeowners prefer early installation so the lights are ready before Thanksgiving. We set your timer so the lights do not turn on until you want them to — installing early does not mean they are lit in October.
When do you take down the lights?
Takedown typically runs from early January through mid-February, depending on the schedule. We will coordinate a removal date with you after the holidays. During takedown, we remove all lights, inspect your roofline for any issues, organize and label your lights, and store them in a labeled bin. We leave it on your porch or store it for you, depending on your preference.
Do I need to be home for installation or takedown?
No. Most of our Bend customers are not home during installation or takedown. We coordinate the date in advance, and our crew handles everything. You come home to a fully lit house. If you are home, we are happy to walk you through the display and the timer setup.
What happens if a bulb goes out during the season?
Call us. We will be on-site within 24 hours to replace it at no charge. Mid-season maintenance is included in every installation. You never have to change a bulb, climb a ladder, or troubleshoot anything yourself.
Do you install lights on trees, bushes, and landscaping — not just rooflines?
Yes. We do full-property lighting including rooflines, eaves, peaks, ridgelines, dormers, windows, columns, porches, railings, walkways, trees (including large conifers), bushes, hedges, and other landscaping features. We also install wreaths, garlands, and custom accent pieces. If you can dream it, we can build it.
Do you work on multi-story homes?
Yes. We have the equipment, training, and insurance to safely install on multi-story homes, steep rooflines, and complex architectural features. Many of the homes in Northwest Crossing, Broken Top, Awbrey Butte, and Tetherow have two and three-story rooflines — we handle them regularly.
Do you install commercial holiday lighting?
Yes. We install holiday lighting for commercial properties, retail centers, restaurants, hotels, resorts, HOAs, municipal buildings, and event venues throughout Central Oregon. If you find an equal permanent lighting system — meaning commercial-grade product with a lifetime warranty on materials — installed by a licensed, insured contractor, we will beat that price by 10 percent. The product must be equivalent grade with an equivalent warranty. Consumer products like Govee do not qualify for the price match because they are not the same category of product.
What is the Lifetime Guarantee?
Our Lifetime Guarantee covers all materials and product components on every installation — both holiday and permanent. If a light fails, a clip breaks, a cord goes bad, or any material component stops working, we replace it. No charge. No expiration.
