BrightWrx is a family-owned holiday and permanent lighting company built in Bend, Oregon — not a franchise that opened a territory here. Same founders. Same crews. Same standards, twenty years running.
In 2006, Brennan and Melody Morrow started what was then called Christmas Lights Factory out of Bend, Oregon. At the time, nearly every installer in the state was still hanging incandescent strands — hot, fragile, power-hungry, and prone to dying one bulb at a time on the coldest night of the year.
Brennan thought there was a better way to do it. So BrightWrx became Oregon's first LED-only Christmas light installer, at a point when LED holiday lighting was still an unproven idea most of the industry was waiting on. That decision is the reason our displays hold their color through a Central Oregon January, and it's the reason our warranty language can be what it is.
Two decades later, the ownership hasn't changed hands. There's no private equity group, no national call center, no franchise agreement dictating how a Bend roofline gets designed. When you call, you reach the company that will actually be on your roof.
Here's the difference between a company that serves Bend and a company that comes from it.
We manufacture our own commercial-grade fixtures rather than reselling the same store strands you'd find at a big-box shelf. That's why we can guarantee them, and why we can replace one on a Tuesday in December without waiting on a distributor.
Trained, insured, local installers — several of them family. They know which Bend neighborhoods have architectural review standards, which rooflines ice over first, and what a Cascade wind does to a poorly anchored clip.
Twenty years in, Brennan still personally handles the calls that go sideways. Not a ticket queue. Not an outsourced after-hours line. Ask any customer who's called us in the middle of the season.
Bend sits at roughly 3,600 feet in Oregon's high desert, and the climate here is genuinely punishing for exterior lighting. Snow load and ice. Freeze-thaw swings that expand and contract every seal and socket. Dry cold. High-altitude UV that bleaches lens color. Wind coming off the Cascades that finds every weak clip.
Store-bought strands aren't engineered for that, which is why so many of them crack and quit somewhere around the second week of December. Ours are specified for it: weather-sealed, commercial-grade, and installed with damage-free methods that don't put holes in your fascia.
Two decades of installs across Bend's neighborhoods — including the ones with architectural guidelines. We design displays that look sharp from the street and stay compliant with your HOA.
Bend is home, but our trucks run the whole region every season.
We've handled large commercial contracts — including Redmond Municipal Airport — and we've hung a single strand of warm white over a front door on a cul-de-sac. Both get the same materials, the same guarantee, and the same people.
Fully done-for-you seasonal displays. We design it, install it, maintain it all season, take it down, and store it until next year. You never touch a ladder.

Explore commercial lighting →Brennan sits on the board of directors for the Central Oregon Trail Alliance, the non-profit that builds and maintains the singletrack this region rides on. If you've ridden Tin Can Alley or the trails up toward Tumalo Falls, you've been on ground COTA looks after.
Melody gives her time to charitable organizations throughout Central Oregon, and holds a fairly simple view of what a business is for: take care of people. The customer's holiday display and the neighbor who needs a hand are the same job.
By the time the Old Mill District lights up, the downtown tree goes on, and lit kayaks start floating down the Deschutes, our season is already well underway. We've been part of that stretch of the calendar in this town for twenty years.
That isn't a softened, asterisked marketing guarantee. It's the whole standard the company runs on, and it's been the standard since 2006.
Every install comes with commercial-grade materials backed by our Lifetime Guarantee, licensed and insured crews, damage-free mounting, 24-hour service response through the season, and a complimentary inspection at takedown.

Over 300 five-star reviews, pulled live. We don't write these.
By the time the Old Mill District and downtown Bend light up, the best installers are already full. The homes with the showstopper displays didn't wait — they locked in early.
Reserve my spotYes. Brennan and Melody Morrow founded the company in Bend in 2006 and still own and operate it. Bend is our primary service area and home to our local office at 2900 NW Clearwater Dr STE 200. We are not a franchise, and we are not a national brand licensing a territory to a local operator.
Since 2006 — roughly twenty years. The company was founded as Christmas Lights Factory and rebranded to BrightWrx, but the ownership, the crews, and the standards have not changed hands.
Yes. We hold Oregon CCB #257964 and are licensed, bonded, and insured. Our legal entity is Christmas Lights R US LLC. Every crew member on your property is trained and covered.
Almost certainly. We install throughout Bend — NorthWest Crossing, Awbrey Butte, Tetherow, Broken Top, Old Bend, the Old Mill District, Shevlin, Mountain High, River West, Century West, Larkspur, and Southern Crossing among them — plus Redmond, Sisters, Sunriver, Prineville, Tumalo, La Pine, Terrebonne, Powell Butte, Crooked River Ranch, Eagle Crest, and Caldera Springs.
Yes, and we do it regularly. Architectural review standards are common in neighborhoods like NorthWest Crossing and Tetherow. We design displays that look sharp from the street and stay within your neighborhood's guidelines. If you're unsure what your HOA allows, tell us during the estimate and we'll design to it.
We manufacture our own commercial-grade fixtures. That's the core difference between us and most installers, who buy and hang the same product available to anyone. It's the reason we can stand behind a Lifetime Guarantee on our bulbs and replace a failed fixture within 24 hours during the season.
Holiday lighting is a seasonal, fully done-for-you display — we design, install, maintain, remove, and store it. Permanent lighting is a year-round app-controlled RGBW system installed into your roofline. It's invisible during the day, and at night it becomes anything you want: warm white for everyday curb appeal, red and green in December, orange in October, security lighting on a timer.
They're specified for it. Bend sits at roughly 3,600 feet in the high desert, which means snow, ice, aggressive freeze-thaw cycles, dry cold, high-altitude UV, and Cascade wind. Our fixtures are weather-sealed and commercial-grade. If something does fail during the season, we come fix it — that's the 24-hour service response.
Earlier than most people think. Our calendar fills before the Old Mill District and downtown Bend light up, and the best installation windows go first. Summer and early fall are ideal for holiday installs, and permanent lighting can be installed year-round.
Nothing. Estimates are free, no-obligation, and take about two minutes to request. You'll receive a fixed price with no hidden fees. You can also use our AI design preview to see a lighting design on your own home before you talk to anyone.
