Gabriel has always believed that light is more than something you see — it's something you feel. That's not a tagline for him. That's genuinely how he approaches every job. As Red Team Leader, Gabriel oversees installations, maintenance, and takedowns for his crew across the Central Oregon region. He brings a creative instinct to lighting design that goes beyond just following a template — he thinks about how a home is going to look from the street at 6pm on a December evening, and he works backwards from there. Outside of the season, Gabriel is known for his big heart and his ability to make people laugh. On the job, he's the guy who makes sure his crew takes the same pride in the work that he does. That combination — warmth and standards — is exactly what you want in a team leader. He leads the Elf Team through the full season — design consultations, installations, maintenance calls, and takedowns — seven days a week from October through January. The transition from firefighting to holiday lighting sounds like a stretch until you realize both require the same things: physical work in unpredictable conditions, precision under pressure, and a team that trusts each other.
